Fundraising Opportunities with Petersen & Tietz

Trying to raise money for your school, church or nonprofit organization? Let Petersen & Tietz Florists & Greenhouses help! As a member of the Cedar Valley community for 89 years, Petersen & Tietz is proud to support local organizations like yours. To be able to assist as many organizations and projects as possible, we have developed the following programs.

Plant Centerpieces for Sale
Are you hosting an event that will be using tables? Our Houseplant selection is available year-round to use as centerpieces or we can provide seasonally appropriate plants such as Poinsettias, Evergreens, Spring Hanging Baskets and more. Your organization is given a 20% discount off of the suggested selling price, your profit for your Fundraiser. Any plants that you do not sell, you return to Petersen & Tietz. This option gives you table décor at no cost and the opportunity to make money on that décor with no risk to your organization.

A Scheduled Plant Sale
In this scenario, we bring plants to a location of your choice for a one day or two days plant sale. This option is very effective with spring plants; however, we can organize this sale year-round with houseplants. Your organization is given a 20% discount off of the suggested selling price, your profit for your Fundraiser.

A Gift Certificate Sale
If you are looking for an easy, year-round opportunity to raise money, the Petersen & Tietz Gift Certificate Sale Program is a great way for nonprofit organizations like yours to raise funds for charitable works, community programs and church and school activities. Your group sells Petersen & Tietz Gift Certificates in amounts from $5-$500, redeemable in our Flower Shop or Garden Center. Buyers can use the gift certificates to buy anything they’d like, including beautiful fresh flowers, plants, home décor, holiday gifts and more. In return, your group receives 15% of your total gift certificate sales.
